| | | I love Cape Breton Island. When I bought some land in Belle Cote 25 years ago I had no idea how beautiful it is, I bought unseen. In the meantime I came to visit a couple of times and I truly love it. Plan to build a vacation home soon. Thanks for the wonderful pictures.

| | | Two weeks is never enough time to spend in Inverness County. I was there with my boyfriend this past July 29, 2005 until August 6, 2005. It was Paul's first time ever travelling outside of Ontario. He is originally from Malta. He absolutely enjoyed everything he saw, everyone he met and everything that we did. He was amazed by the beauty of Mabou and the whole of Inverness County. We travelled The Cabot Trail for 2 days and the wondrous beauty of the Inverness County side kept him in awe the whole time. We could have spent at least a week exploring just the Inverness side. For myself, it was another heart rending trip. I spent my childhood summers in North East Mabou with my paternal Grandmother. I formed very special and close bonds with all of my Aunts, Uncles and Cousins and friends. I have travelled back several times over the years with my children when they were young and 3 times over these past few years. The first time by myself was for the occasion of my Grandmother's 100th birthday. I visited again last summer, August 2004 for almost 3 weeks and again this summer. It is never enough for me, because my Father is in North Lake Ainslie and my heart is in Cape Breton Island. I would love to be able to live there if I could ever convince my 5 children and their significant others and my granddaughter to join me. However, they are all very happily and gainfully employed here in Ontario and will not likely have a move to Cape Breton on their agendas. LOL. In any case, I keep looking at the Real Estate Listings and dreaming.
